CAMP AMERICA QUALITY CONTROL CODE
Camp America recognizes and supports the concept that custody
of others’ lives and welfare calls for a dedication
and a commitment that is essentially moral in nature.
Camp America believes in the necessity to preserve integrity,
especially in regard to screening and interviewing of our
participants as well as careful matching.
Camp America will endeavor to investigate thoroughly all
legitimate complaints received from Camp Directors and participants.
Camp America will require that all participants provide references
to ensure that Camp America standards are upheld.
Camp America requires all participating camps to provide
our participants with sufficient food, housing, medical attention
and other proper considerations in accordance with Camp America
policy and the rules and regulations of each individual camp.
Camp America will provide camps and participants with a support
system that is caring, fair and understanding. Camp America
will conduct business in a professional, responsible and ethical
manner, and will actively work with the camping industry to
further internationalism throughout the world.

OTHER CAMP AMERICA PROGRAMS
Resort America matches international students
with American resorts, vacation facilities and country clubs
that need seasonal employees for summer and can provide housing.
The 12 week program structure resembles that of Camp America.

AIFS—WE BRING THE WORLD TOGETHER
Camp America is a division of the American Institute For Foreign
Study®. AIFS has 40 years of experience in international
study, exchange and educational travel. Since its founding
in 1964, more than one million teachers and students have
traveled abroad with AIFS. During the last 35 years Camp America
has placed more than 100,000 international counselors in American
camps. Camp America has the full support of AIFS resources
such as transportation, insurance, marketing and data systems
as well as assistance from offices worldwide.
OTHER AIFS PROGRAMS
High school students from many countries study in the U.S.
with Academic Year in America. Other young people from all
over the world aged 18 through 26 spend a year’s cultural
exchange in the U.S. with Au Pair in America. Our College
Division organizes study abroad for U.S. students at 20 campuses
abroad including Richmond, The American International University
in London. Study/travel programs for high school students
are offered through the American Council for International
Studies (ACIS). AIFS programs provide the highest quality
educational experience. The Summer Institute For The Gifted
offers three week summer residential and day programs on college
campuses for academically talented students in grades one
through 11. Immediate family members of participating Camp
