“The new Camp America website puts talented counselors at our fingertips! This past year, we found a number of excellent counselors and activity instructors simply by searching the site.”

Great Value

The total cost to hire an applicant is consistent with their skills and certifications. General counselors require less financial resources than specialists or activity leaders regardless of age.

Lower Costs and Lower Fees

We are passing savings from our airline contracts and other costs directly to you.

Streamlined Cost Structure

We offer far fewer fee categories and a more simple compensation schedule that is easier on your eye and on your budget!

Included in Camp America Fees

  • Transatlantic Air Transportation.
  • Orientation sessions.
  • 24-hour Camp America support throughout the camp season.
  • Participants are covered by comprehensive medical and emergency dental insurance while in the United States. Participant baggage insurance is optional.
  • Additional pocket money for repeat staff - your most experienced counselors and Campower staff will receive more pocket money and have more incentive to return to camp.
  • J-1 visa sponsorship.

Cultural Exchange Component

Camp America is a cultural exchange program where our participants serve as counselors, role models, and support staff for your campers. Aside from your financial commitment and room and board, there are other considerations that accompany participation. Work hours should be the same as those of your American staff, and participants should get at least one full day off per week. In addition, access to off-site transportation on days off is most appreciated. It is also important to provide opportunities for social interaction with American counterparts, as well as access to activities and facilities.
